Senior Attorney, Charles M. Goldstein
Mr. Goldstein focuses in the area of family law and alternative dispute resolution, including complex business valuation, property division, cash flow analysis relating to spousal maintenance and child support, and custody matters. He has appeared and argued on numerous occasions before the Minnesota Court of Appeals. He has also tried well over 100 cases in district court. Mr. Goldstein is a frequent presenter, including for national organizations on topics related to divorce. His cases include financial early neutral evaluation, the new child support statutes, relocation of minor children and post-decree modifications. Because of his breadth of knowledge, he is engaged as an expert witness by other attorneys and has been recognized as a “High Rated Attorney” by Peer Review through Martindale-Hubbell
Charles attended the George Washington University and the University of Minnesota, where he graduated with Honors, Cum Laude and was on Dean’s List. He attended the University of Minnesota Law School, where he was selected to participate in the Frederick Douglass Civil Rights Moot Court. He was granted his Juris Doctorate in 1987. He served as Judicial Clerk for Hennepin County District Court Judges Thomas Carey, Gary Larson and John Summerville.
Charles has been a long time member of the Collaborative Law Institute of Minnesota and the International Association of Collaborative Practitioners. He believes in the collaborative process as a durable and highly beneficial alternative to standard litigation. He works with his team to resolve family law matters expeditiously and effectively so that his clients yield the results they need and deserve.

Marit Kaiser graduated from the certified Paralegal Program at the University of Minnesota, earning her certification in Legal Administration, along with a B.A. in Business Administration. She has over 30 years of experience in a variety of legal areas, including family, real estate, bankruptcy, wills, probate, personal injury, criminal and corporate.
Marit began working with Goldstein Law Office in 1999 and her diverse legal background has proven indispensable in the practice of family law, with its complicated and varied issues. She has been involved in all phases of client files, from initial consultation through trial and post-decree matters.
